Instructions
• Place the coffee pot on a stable, surface and plug it in.
•Twist the carafe lid in the “Open” direction to remove it. Fill the pitcher with cold water.
•Open the lid of the water tank and pour the water from the jug into the tank. Make as much or as little coffee as you need, following the level indicator markings on the reservoir. Do not fill the reservoir above the “S-Cup” mark. Close the lid.
•PREHEAT the carafe by squirting hot water through it. This step protects the thermal lining from cracking as hot coffee drips on it and keeps your coffee hot.
Replace the lid on the carafe, turning in the “Close” direction.
•Grab the filter basket handle and swing out. Place a filter in the basket.
•Measure 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every cup of water in the filter and return to the closed swing position. Press the “On” button.
•Listen for the audible signal indicating the brew cycle is complete.
• Check to make sure the carafe is in the “Closed” position and pouring a cup of coffee.
•Clean the coffee maker after each use. Press the “Off” button, unplug the appliance and then open the filter basket and discard the used coffee.
Hand wash the carafe in hot, soapy water, rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Do not put the carafe in the dishwasher.

Cuisinart’s history dates back to 1971, when Carl Sontheimer and his wife were excited after seeing a demonstration of one of the first kitchen robots in a restaurant in France.
At that time, Carl, who was a retired physicist and lover of cooking, decided to create his own brand of electrical appliances with his own designs.
It is in the year 1973 when they would present their first food processor in the United States, and from there they would reap great fame through the massive sale of multiple household appliances, until 1988.
On this date they sold the company to a group of investors ( Conair Corporation ), a manufacturer of household appliances worldwide, which would not begin to manufacture coffee makers until 1994.
We are talking about the fact that 26 years have passed since Cuisinart began manufacturing the first models of coffee makers, more than enough time for the older models to present some problem.
And what should we do in case of problems with a Cuisinart coffee maker? First consult the user manual of our model (which you can find in the following list), but also, you can consult our troubleshooting guide for Cuisinart coffee makers.
